Vinh Nghiem Pagoda

Going to the pagoda, worshipping Buddha is one of the cultural characteristics of Vietnamese people since ancient times. Located in the heart of the City, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda with its large campus and special architecture attracts thousands of tourists visiting. Where is Vinh Nghiem Pagoda?

Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is a famous place. It's located at 339 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (near Cong Ly Bridge), in Ward 7, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

How Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is unique?

The pagoda was built from 1964 to 1971 according to architect Nguyen Ba Lang's drawing. The main pagoda built the "Cong" typeface, facing the northeast, including a ground floor and a floor. The ground floor has lecture halls, road halls, offices, living rooms, monks' rooms, copper-gas shops, shops selling scriptures...

In the main floor, the terrace is quite large. The Palace is a magnificent dance hall 35m long and 22m wide. The Buddha's power was arranged to worship and worship Thich Ca Tam Ton. But in the middle of worshiping Buddha Thich Ca 7m high. Specially both sides worship Bodhisattva Manjushri and Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, each statue is about 5m high. At the side of the two sides, there are four bronze statues of four disciples of Shakyamuni Buddha: the First and Only (wisdom); Section Kien Lien (the first spirit); Nan (first writer); La La La (the first secret). There are wood-carving works. Such as: the four sacred spirits, many of them, the reliefs on the projects (touching the famous temples in the country and the Asian countries) by the artists Nguyen Van Phuc and Nguyen Van Du, Ba Nham... carried out in the 1960s.

At the main hall, there are six Arhat bas-reliefs. All of them are wood carvings based on the original version of the Japanese Pure Land. On the terrace, before the entrance to the main hall, each side has a large Diamond statue.

After the Buddha's power is the Earth's power. Here, the statue of the Bodhisattva, the Dharmapala and the altar images of the late Buddhas are placed here.

The common rosary by Mr. Yoshioka Toichi of the Shakyamuni of Japanese Buddhism offered the temple in 1969 and hung in the main bell tower on the right floor.

Quan Am tower was built on the left side of the pagoda, has 7 roofs, 35m high, inside the tower, each floor has an altar of Bodhisattva Quan The Am.

Xa Loi Tower in the back-building community, on the right, has 4 floors, 25m high, built in 1982, completed in 1984. In the tower, the spirit of the monks and nuns has been buried.

On the left side of the pagoda. There is also a large building with the ground floor called the Road Boy, the middle floor is the increase of the road and the top floor is the Meditation Hall.

The pagoda is currently located in the High School - Central Buddhist University of Ho Chi Minh City. The pagoda is a retreat of the monks in Vinh Nghiem and Sangha Buddhist College and City Buddhist College.
