The Citadel is usually opened from 8.AM to 17.PM, from Tuesday to Sunday. It is closed on Monday so remember to not go there on that day. On special occasions the opening hours may change.

Thang Long Imperial Citadel is located in a really large and spatial area. The site has a total area of 18.395 ha, including archaeological sites and remains such as the glass pillar of Hanoi, Bac Mon, Hau Mon, eight gates under Nguyen Dynasty. So you can go there by any means of transportation without worry. There are parking lot for both cars and motorbikes. If you choose bus, you can take the buses number 22, 33, 45 or 50. Each bus ticket costs 7.000 VND.
